Kinda weird to find that in snow don't you think?
Well I don't know, you'd need a baseline of known "healthy snow first". Knowing how to interpret the data you have is more important than having the data. So is that weird, sounds like it could be but I don't know.
Kinda like I bet they also found a lot of di-hydrogen monoxide in that sample, it doesn't sound good at first but you later realize it's just water. Also when fukushima happened pollutant detectors at nuke plants in Georgia picked it up. Knowing random pollutants can cross the globe it seems like finding those things in snow might be the norm.
