Hey guys, so I keep seeing this on Facebook and I thought it would be fun to do on the forum. Post an early build of yours!
Just a picture is all that is required. Vids okay if ya got 'em. I'll go first. This was my first DIY Laser and the beginning of a
long standing inside joke about ground screws among those who have been here since late 2010.

Let's see what you got! This will be a ncie way for new guys to see that we were all noobs once upon a time. Except for some of you, who popped
out of the womb with a soldering iron and a fist full of diodes. Side note: for you lot, call your mothers and apologize for the severe damage that caused!

Simon should post his, it tops yours :D. I tried to find my first, but I must have thrown it out. My first one died on power up, my second one worked.

I still have a part of my first build, I ripped the inductor off the dead driver and it's now being used in 3.7V to 5V boost converter :)

I've never built a laser, but now the lamp hobby has got me into electronics more I probably will soon. Do you still have that build Isaac?

I love this thread it will show the new comers what it was like 5 years ago, good on you for making this thread and +5 :gj:

I'll find something to put up here as soon as I get back from the pyro convention BOOM

Projector from back in 2009. We didn't have any of those fancy blue diodes.
CNI 1W 532nm DPSS, laserwave OEM 500mW 638nm, laserwave OEM 250mW 473nm DPSS, and scanpro 20kpps built into a computer case and powered with an ATX supply. It did a little over a watt after lowering the green power to match.

I still have it, but I've since upgraded to GT30W scanners, corrected mitsubishi red at 1W with DIY driver, and 462nm at 1W with a DIY driver.

Lol Cyp, that does not count as a first build. The level of sophistication is far beneath Isaac's :p

My first build.
