why dont work with 18650? its dont hit 0.3W with 18650?

"These are 1-1.3 watt (1,150mW +/- 150mW), focusable 445nm lasers in the Aurora C6-style host that use all variants of the rechargeable or disposable CR123A batteries currently available. They can also use 2 x 18650 batteries with our battery tube extension accessory."

The driver requires a minimum of about 5.7V to provide enough power to the diode for full optical output. A single 18650 only produces 4.2V. The fact that it works at all with a single 18650 is like a free bonus 2nd mode. ;)

The single 18650 must be fully charged to work in this 100-300mW output mode.

Thanks punk3r! :D

The 2 X 3V batteries will work, but when the combined voltage drops below about 5.5-5.7V you will begin to see a power loss. Duty cycle with copper on the SL I is 2-3 minutes on, 1-2 minutes off.

Thanks Mike!

FYI to our customers, I took a break from the PMs over the weekend but they are all responded now. :)

hey garoq.
just got to add my 2 cents worth.
package arrived and took me a whole 3 minutes to unwrap everything.
just to set the scene this was my first build if you could call it that(more like parts assembly)
it took a learner maybe?? 1.5 minutes max to assemble and this was without reading the instructions(i know i am a male)and lets just say "WOW".
for the price and the quality and simplicity it does not add up, so to say i am overly impressed is an understatement.
Garoq your the man for the newby.....(for a simple assembly job with nothing to work out).
know let me also add make sure you buy some goggles if this is your first class 4 laser cause you WILL need them, it is awesome to look at the beam and dot without glasses when everything is set but is YOUR eye sight worth it if an accident happens i know mine is.
so +10 to survival laser

Thanks for the kudos. :) Let me reiterate for others that you must use appropriate laser safety goggles when operating these units, especially indoors when looking at the spot at close range.

PLEASE understand, that dot IS dangerous! Looking at the beam outdoors is ok for your eyes, but of course you have to be very careful not to drop it or accidentally catch a stray beam or hot reflection. But looking at the dot IS bad for your eyes. :(
