Damn it! Such a milestone:rolleyes: and I screw up the grammar.
Yeah.... I spam too much.:yabbem:

1,000 posts I'n under 4 months, you'll own this place before the years over! Haha

hey BB, got any front surface mirrors in the closeout? I saw some on the site, but none in the closeout's unless I missed them. Even if you don't I think I may try and get some cheap FS mirrors from the site

I dont think BB works for Fred, but I could be wrong--S.Shed is a great company and I have gotten some excellant items from them.

okay, I had no idea if that was his site or what. Thanks for the info tho!

Oh I wish I worked there, or at least had first dibs/company discount on all the good stuff. I actually didn't buy anything from the closeout list, but did get some other stuff to take advantage of the free shipping. $5 isn't much, but for what I was ordering it would've been 1/4th of the price.

If I didn't already have two from that site, I would have gotten the Sharp laser printer assembly for $10. It has a nice motorized hex mirror (I can give you the pin-out to power it if you want it), and lenses. I got some when they had their random percent off sale. The FS mirrors were kind of pricey for what I wanted. I'm sure they are excellent quality, but I have a bunch from projectors I've ripped apart. There are some nice ones here, which are probably less expensive than the specialty ones from SS.

T Y BB for the headsup and the offer of help ppwering up the hex mirrors. They make a very nice Liq.Sky EFX. What can you tell us about the laser diode in it?

I would have missed the free shipping if you had not shared. I used to be a VIP member at SShed but that has lapsed. I just ordered some of the 1/3 rmp motors that Fred has listed for my massive Lumia project. They charged me for shipping but it was returned via my PP just like they said they would. Just put 'free shipping' in the notes. These low rpm motors are hard to find and SShed has them at a great price.

I got a cheapie video camera from SS that was crap. SShed allowed me to return it for a refund.

+rep for BB once the system allows.

Thanks!

I haven't powered it up myself, but I'm guessing that it's an IR diode. I've been seeing about whether the lens is usable for red diodes since it's already well positioned within the assembly for a "pre-built" liquid sky effect.

Here are the pin-outs as far as I've figured:

Pin 1: +18V
Pin 2: GND
Pin 3: ! Chip enable (I think. Active low.)
Pin 4: ??? (passes through a capacitor, not sure what its purpose is)
Pin 5: NC

I have yet to rig it up, but I grabbed one of those +/- 15V 5A power supplies previously. It should be nice for powering galvo DIY op-amps and stuff that I want to experiment with.
