I recommend you solder wires (VERY fast) on the diodes, please SECURE IT ON THE MODULE FIRST.. WITH THERMAL GREASE. So it dissipate the heat and such.

Ok, I changed the battery of the multimeter and now it works, just tell me where to set the pointer pls.

About the module, I got this axis module but the diode is very small and while it fit good behind the optic, it fall down the spring under it. How do I fix it to stay still?

I don't really know, but less than 200mA you can use 200m (at V~). You will use it to measure your driver and measure the output.

I don't understand what you are doing. Put the optic back there, the diode fits the other side. Open the back barrel of the module and you will see where the diode fits.

Oh, ok, I see it, I just don't understand what the point of the spring between the lens and the diode then...

the spring is to make the lens less 'loose' so they won't unfocus naturally...

Ok, I inserted the diode, the back is a mess, I'll have to remove the solder left and straighten the pins.

The only way to take the diode out of the housing is to hammer it on the other side. Do that only when it's dead (duh).

Also, about removing those solder blobs, do you have a solder vacuum pump? It's incredibly useful tool for desoldering and touching up the solder work.
