thank you everyone for the nice comments and all the incredible PM's I received. I did take some time away and logged in yesterday to post a result of the new 6w diode and respond to some PM's but was too soon or not welcome to my biggest fan cypargon he just couldn't resist neg repping me I think he has neg repped me 5-6 times this year alone! Is that not stalking or trolling and against the rules? Cyp I get it your butt hurt and forever embarassed because you posted stupid hateful remarks and many members felt you we're being a baby again and it was pointed out.Get over it your mom has to have bought you some cookies or something to stop the crying.Nope never a dull day in some people's basement I guess. I even looked for a new avatar to promote piece.

That's where we disagree. No money or goods were misappropriated. That to me is fixed. You didn't get your way and your feelings got hurt. Sellers are not under any obligation to fix hurt feelings.
You weren't in the wrong, nobody was. Your behavior was inappropriate. That's why you were banned.

I really don't understand you, starlight. You're calling names, throwing tantrums, and posting ad hominem remarks towards me in general. There's no reasoned argument in sight. I take away rep for that kind of behavior (for ANYONE, not just you). Your very next step upon receiving that feedback is to repeat the behavior and escalate it. Why?

Maybe consider staying, about a year ago I went through some troubles here too, got negged so much I had a red bar about a half inch long under my ID, some of the negs were not at all warranted, i.e. "necro posting" to old threads when I was just asking questions which were already being discussed in the thread, that you can do, I found out later from PED... as long as you are intelligently adding to the thread, then no problem, better than starting another thread on the same subject. When I was leaving the forum a couple of members PM'd me asking me to chill and hang, I did, things got better.
I agree there are a couple of quick to neg members who seem too trigger happy, strange to me the very ones who were the most active at negging were the same ones with the highest rep count... But from what I can tell, they have chilled a lot in the last few months and things are much better here. I rarely neg because I usually feel differently about the member when I cool off, I just negged someone about 10 days ago who probably didn't deserve it because at the time I believed he knowingly sold me a bad diode, now I am not so sure about that.
So.... I hope to encourage you to just take a break if need be, don't discount the idea of coming back later, I've enjoyed having you here. OK, all of that said, I have to admit I've seen some mud slinging going on which shouldn't have happened so, there were reasons others were upset, being human sucks sometimes, we all have our bad and good sides, someone who could be your friend outside of the virtual reality of a forum might be a nemesis online, you never know from what you see in a forum what someone is really about.

Read Alaskan's post. That's really all there is to it here.
The "Class X Laser" under the username gets replaced with "Banned" when a member is banned. Starlight isn't permanently banned or temporary banned at the moment. It takes a lot of repeat offenses for an established member to get permanently banned.

The time to say goodbye has come again. Just can't seem to wrap my head around this forum sometimes. Watching members make mistakes and not correcting them just rubs me wrong. Watching the rest of the forum embrace it justifies moving on maybe for good. My input and money is no longer needed here the writing is on the wall.

n and walk . Give it another shot and take a deep breath things can change for the better.This is supposed to be a hobby you enjoy ,so don't let folks intimidate you and don't take stuff to heart. Many of us here Have bad and good days it's only human nature my brother. Don't cut yourself short stay and regroup and take a different approach on issues it will work. Don't quit thats the easy way out stand tall on two feet...

I have been kicked in the shins pretty hard several times here at LPF myself but I have thick skin and do not bruise very easily. I usually go by if your cool I'm cool but if you want to play hardball I will also IF it is worth it. Otherwise I just drop it as it is usually not worth the time, effort and grief.
That is why I avoid the "Religion" thread as that is one big @$$hole fest!!!
Reminds me of what my Mother told me when I was young, "if there is a pile of dog sh!t on the sidewalk, simply walk around it!"

Well I'm new but have been reading a lot for several weeks now. I see a lot of fighting. I don't know you but I can pretty well sense your frustration. I hope to be a veteran someday and if it makes any difference, you're starting fresh with me. My philosophy is everyone starts with an 'A' grade and it goes from there. Contrary to some professors/people I've met where you start at the bottom and work your way up.

I was reading back through stars threads and this made me laugh, but...
I have a question.

This is just my attempt al levity, my point is crying It's not fair I'm running away forever seems childish.

In my limited experience with the moderators, I haven't had any issues per se but I have had some exchanges here in the forum in the form of replies, PMs, and emails. They've all been friendly, professional, and respectful. Avery emails with personal thanks after every donation - that impressed me.
To starlight, your situation reminds me of a negotiation class I once took based on a book titled Getting to Yes. Do you know what it would take to make it right for you which might also be the same thing as what the threshold is for walking away? And to hopefully eliminate/lower the risk of restarting anything here I'll ask this rhetorically; Has anyone ever asked you?
