Time has come and thinking about trying to sell a few of my Star Trek laser modded TV series phaser's.

These are made from the Rubie's Co. Toy brand. Very accurate to the real prop and they have lots of room inside for good heatsinking and work in general..
I have 5 or 6 just sitting in a draw after I had a building spree and now they are doing nothing.:(
These builds also have the phaser sound which makes it so much funner, at least to me..:giggle:
Rich, Lifetime17" custom built the AL heat sinks for these and also surprised me with a custom front nozzle on one build that does the focusing:)
All brand new sourced diode's and driver's from DTR..
1 with a M02 520 diode, SXD driver at 1.8A with the factory Gball.. Should be at 1W (Sold)
2 with a M140 diode, SXD driver at 1.8A and G2 lens.. Probably 2.2W+ (1 Sold, 1 still for sale)
1 with a A140 diode, SX driver at 1.1A and G2 lens. This one has the cool AL focus nozzle.
These are painted "close" to the original TV series colors but anyone can touch them up.
First 2 pic's are the custom focus knob with the A140
3rd pic is the M02 and M140 side by side.
2nd to last pic is my first build that i'm not selling but just showing the basic's of the insides and the good size heatsink.
The image at the bottom show's the front of one phaser with the nozzle off to show again the heatsink and battery position.
The laser's run on 2 "10440"'s in the handle, and the sound has a separate source supply with 3 "LR44" button tops.

I don't know yet, just seeing if there's any interest. But no way near as close as what some are asking on ebay.
I'm thinking around $250 to $270 for the 520 green?? Just to try to basicly break even.
Lifetime17 was a blessing and made things so much easier. As far as the focus nozzle he had just gotten his lathe, came up with the idea on his own and sent it to me with the heatsink I asked for.:)
Which ST phaser do you have Jerry?

On another note, did the forum change make it easy to upload picture's. I am shocked I was able to post them!!

Hi GSS,
Great to see you got the hang of posting these awesome Phaser's. All looking really good buddy. And yes the prices are very good compared to the Fleabay auctions to sell these, Their prices are are out of reach for some. But yours are very cheap comparing to those.
Good luck on your sale , oh and I didn't get to building the Klingon Disruptor yet . winter is upon us so I sould have plenty of time to Machine some hosts and get to the Klingon build..

Hey GSS- I am very interested in the 520 and the one with the "proto-focus nozzle." Discuss payment and shipping?

Great review of your Star Trek lasers, Peter. I didn't know you were into building these. Looks like you have been quite busy putting relatively high power diodes into these. I see you are now selling some of them off. :)

Hi Paul,
Yes Peter has been building these for some years now and he is very savvy on the subject. I have a new phaser in the box and a Klingon disruptor also. Just need some time to put together a great build with these hosts.

Good luck on your phaser and disruptor builds, Rich. Which diodes do you plan to use in them? Since the heat sink is buried inside the plastic gun it might be difficult for the heat sink to remove heat to the air.

Hi Paul
If its possible will bring the sink out and extended a bit for the wasted heat. Need to see if there's enough space in the front of the muzzle.

Sounds like you are planning to use some high power diodes. Or, at least, some ones that get quite hot like a high power green.
