I was playing with my dads new d300, and I took some pictures. The laser is a 30mW romisen L-030.

Enjoy

Looks awesome, but the best thing is that camera which made this pictures :o (NIKON D300, very expensive)

Yeah, my dad has been waiting for ages to get one, and I was kinda paranoid about burning the CCD :o

dont take this the wrong way lol but a nikon d300 and those are the kinda pics you got!!!!!!!!!!!!

im sure i could get the same quality pics with a cheap £100 camera lol

Yeah I know - I didn't have a tripod, and was messing with the settings

The problem with those super nice cameras are the huge learning curve.

I bought a camera with full manual settings just because I wanted to learn. It took me about 2 days of reading before I turned out some decent pictures.

Even after all that reading, a friend of mine (professional photographer) is amazing... he blows me away with what he can do with a camera. Totally owns me.

With that good of a camera, the 5th picture down of the beam exiting the aperture could have been way awesome. A lot of experimenting with settings and reading up on exposure/lighting, etc. could make that picture scream quality.

Same thing goes with my camera. It's quite new and I have not fully learnt about all the nice functions yet... Too many options. :P

My first beamshots turned out plain ugly and blurry, but they are much better now when I've got used to it a little bit. They are far from 1337 tho.

Someone who has a lot of experience when it comes to photography can take absolutley lovely pictures even with a cheap camera, while many others (like me) sucks even with a decent camera. The quality of the pictures taken depends just as much on the photographer as on the camera itself.

im not a professional by any means and ive only got a nokia d60.

heres a few pics i took the other day - none laser related

(i wont go mad as i dont wana distroy the thread)

I bet an expensive camera like that doesn't use a CCD ::)
