Well I would not call it stale. It is updated daily.

Dumb question: Most of the 445 diodes I've seen have the 3rd pin buried in that orange/yellow "bumper". Is it safe to remove that bumper for access to the case pin?

Sure can. It is just a spacer to keep it aligned and centered in the projector.:beer:

I would imagine then that it's not glued or epoxied on? A thin knife edge should be able to lift it?
