Damn that SS 18650 is tempting. But i have just ordered a Ehgemus host to build my own.

I'm sure these will move quickly like all your other builds.

Someone better jump on this, as I don't think i'll be doing these kits since the ebay seller sends me different hosts every time i try to order them. The closest thing to this host is Jayrob's (the battery compartment has a different design) and i think it runs around $65 just for the basic kit.

DTR do you have an ETA for the 1.6W+ lasers?
Oh and I'm thinking of getting few more goggles for my friends.. Will OD4 at 445nm suffice with 1.6W power output ??
My first concern is safety but I don't want to waste my money on more OD8 overkills..

liranxs, OD 3-4 is good for burning, but if you are working with spiro's and other mirrors use OD 4 for sure. OEM sells many goggles that fit those standards.

OD 3-4 for 1.6W of 445nm?!?! you're not talking about burning the goggles right?? You sure its enough for constant burning at short range????? we're talking about 1.6W here... Sorry but I just have to be absolutely 100% sure about this.. it's my eyes after all..

Yes im sure, no I dont mean the goggles, but a direct hit wouldnt be very bad with them. OD 3 will make 1600mW into 1.6mW. And OD 4 will take it down to 0.16mW. very safe... :tinfoil:

no, nope, no way, It will make 1.6 watt into 0.000016mW as you said. OD 8 only has use at 1000+ watts. Im actually not sure WHY you would EVER need OD 8 as a hobbyist but Some people....
