Sold to LuxIncendendus pending payment
For sale is a very nice 635nm Laser.
This laser uses one of the 500mW 635nm Mitsubishi diodes
The lens is a 650-G2
Diode is run at 1.5A with an X-Drive
Tec is also powered by an X-Drive, at 1.8A
The 2 Heatsinks were made by Eudaimonium :thanks:
The Focus Adapter was made by Flamingpyro :thanks:
The diode is chilled by a TEC (Thermo Electric Cooler)
The Tec in this laser is able to keep the diode COLD,
even when the outside of the laser is hot.
Another benefit of having a chilled diode is the wavelength
The colder the diode, the brighter the color.
The laser includes 2 Panasonic 3100mAh cells, with an adapter tube so they fit properly.
The adapter tube can be removed if you want to use 32600 batteries.
Asking Price is $400 Shipped to the USA only
Batteries are included
A basic Charger is included
Safety glasses are available if you want them for $50: 600nm - 760nm OD4 Eagle pair
Here is an impressive 5 Minute LPM test.
During the first few minutes the power goes UP as the diode cools down,
For the next couple minutes the output stays basically at the peak output power
Build log can be seen here
I feel obligated to warn you:
This laser has Bad Divergence,
just like any other multimode 635nm laser :undecided:
If you aren't familiar with these diodes they basically make a line instead of a dot,
similar to a 445 but worse.
If pointing the laser in the sky you can "cheat" the divergence by rotating the laser so the line is parallel to your line of sight.
The beam also comes out of the laser at a slight angle,
Its not too noticeable, but if you look for it, you will see it.
Another warning: This laser should not be taken apart!
There is a desiccant sealed inside the head of the laser
If you remove the head, or the lens, you will expose the laser to moisture,
and it may cause condensation, condensation is bad...
