Sold: Great condition complete Sl Argon-Ion

In order to fund some more cool projects (460nm, LPM, Car etc…) I have decided to sell off a few things. This thread contains the laser and guitar gear that I want to sell.

Argon-Ion
For sale is my Argon-Ion laser. It is a 4mW JDSU 2212-4SL Single-line Argon-Ion. This laser is in really nice condition because it was pulled out of a DNA sequencer module. On idle it puts out a bright cyan beam that was brighter that my 5-10mW GLP-473. It has less than 5000 hours put on the head, so it still has a long life of lasing left. It includes the laser head, the power supply, and the jumper wires that allow it to run idle (1-13, 2-4), the "pro-grounding" board, and blower fan + rigging to connect it to the head. I kept the original power button because it was huge. My dream was to build a case around it so it looked like a detonator. Asking price $195

On that 473, is that brass or aluminum? How long do you think it will keep before needing a polish?

I hope you aren't leaving that CNI crystal set open to the air like that. If so, the LBO has probably already
gone bad.

It is brass. It stays shiny for several months before It needs to be polished. Since it is brass, it really depends on if you touch it or not. The blue section of the pen is long enough that you don't have to touch the brass part. I plan on giving it a re-polish before it ships too.

What? The CNI LBO set I got from styro in my sig? That is sealed in a damprid container until I buy the drivers and make something of it. The 473 pen has an internally sealed module.

How much would the shipping cost on the knives to Canada? I would take the four of them if the shipping wasn't too bad.

I will weigh them and get a quote tomorrow. It should not be that bad they should fit in a small padded envelope.

I just opened It and it had all its info printed inside
1700-2450Vdc and 5.25/6.5mA I will update the OP.
Cheapest USPS option was around $60 I will look around and see If I can get a better rate elsewhere.

You are kindly welcome. I like my lasers bright and my knives sharp. Perhaps we should make a survival / attack laser host with a wicked blade on one end and a 1 watt 405 laser on the other. The best of both worlds, old school meets new.
