I just built this 638nm laser it only has five minutes of total run time for testing. All internals are new, the Stainless host had a 650nm build in it that I purchased from Cheech226 :) but I thought this host could use more power with a nice bright Orangish beam coming out of it. It is not to be used over 5.5v so no (16340 or 18350) double batteries it will kill this laser! Uses a single 18650 battery which is included and a charger :)

Duty cycle is 90 sec. on and 60 sec. off

Here are the details below:

Stainless steal host (by Cheech226)
638nm 500mw diode w/ copper module (by DTR)
ALU heatsink
1050ma IRON4D driver (Cajun Lasers)
G-2 lens (by DTR)
Custom Focus adapter (by Mrcrouse)

820mw - peak!!!

nice build if you keep it i recommend an 638nm correction lens from lazeerer it makes the dot a little more bearable.

Pic is taken from an iPhone 5 and it is the correct lens from DTR :)

No i was not saying it was the wrong lens at all! G2's are one of the best if not the best lens out there right now.

Lazeerer just has a lens that can make the dot look a little prettier but you will sacrifice a good amount of power.... just like the 3-elements with the 445nm. But if i was buying it I would rather get it with a G2 on it ;)

Also I like that focus adapter!

Oh lol ok, it's all good and yeah this one does burn stuff and you won't burn your fingers when focusing :)

I don't know why the dot looks so bright and fiery on camera, it looks so do straight and crisp in person "scratches head"
