So who likes hot/spicy food?

i dont see the 7.1 million sauce :P

These are ones I actually eat. I might buy some Source 7.1M sauce someday... but it's expensive for something you'll never really get to eat.

My Black Mamba is pretty good tasting considering it's about 2.5M and it's plenty hot too. I'm about through my first bottle of that... good thing I got 2 bottles :D

This is for the doubters

Do you even taste the food?

I think 16 million scoville units on the taste buds is like a few watts of laser on the retina. I've never had anything over a million scoville myself, but when I came close (800k or something) I couldn't feel the lower half of my face for a few hours afterwards

That partial empty bottle of Blair's Reserve is only 2AM, right?
So only about 600k-900k scoville, right?

the 2:00 am IIRC is a 2 million SCU. 1 drop would contaminate 10,000 gallons of water. By contamination standards meaning the presence of.

Blair's 2 AM Reserve Pepper Extract
Blair's Sauces and Snacks :: 2 A.M. Reserve

I have the 20th anniversary Blair's Ultra Death and 20th anniversary 2AM, both of which are supposed to be 20% hotter than their regular counterparts and I can say they are well short of 2 million. I guess about 1,000,000 though. One thing that upsets me is the 20th anniversary death sauces are made with different ingredients and taste much worse than the regular death sauces (much too salty). Much worse than even Dave's Insanity sauces (yuk). I've yet to find any foods the 20th Anniv. UltraDeath taste actually works with. I wish they just made Jersy Death like the good old days. So I just use my Megadeath all the time... @ 500,000 SHU it's hot enough that just adding more sauce can get you to about any heat level you'd ever want.

Most people only put a drop or two in thier food anyways... at that dilution all the super-hot sauces aren't nearly as hot as they could be. I like to taste my sauces directly so I can pass judgement on the heat and flavor.

God, I love Hot Sauce!!!

Sting without flavor is useless to me. Might as well heat up the soldering iron and see if it's hot. :/ Jolokia sounds good, but I have never tried it.

The 2 AM and the like are extracts... as such they weren't intended to be a sauce just a food additive Blair's however what little other ingredients that it is composed has soy bean oils and molasses not just capciasin.

I agree... for being "just extracts" at least Blair's Reserves have *some* flavor.

What alot of people dont get about ultrahot food is that flavor is WAY more important than the heat. That's why I have a thing for all natural sauces or sauces that don't tase like chemical extract. There's alot of very unique flavors you can enjoy once you're tempered to handle blistering heat.

IMO, there's nothing quite like the crisp fruit/citrus taste of a Jamaican Red or Red Savina... MMmmmm.
Even restaraunt sauces like Quaker Steak's Triple Atomic... great carribean flavor to be enjoyed if you can beat the heat.

I had some biohazzard sauce 6.4 Million dipped a tooth pick in, wiped off the excess on the bottle and touched my tongue and felt like I maced myself !!! did the same and put it in a curry to serve 6, couldn't eat it as it was still too hot !!!!

I like spice but only Habenero spicy :)
