I really can't decide which one of these lasers I would buy.

I could buy the RPL-400 or 250 in the Viasho group buy, 250 I could comfortably afford after selling my green and PHR build, or I could buy the 400 but sell all my lasers + be out of pocket.

Or I could commission a member to build a 12X in a nice host. Choice is yours :) Please take into account the variables above though.

blu-ray definitly.

It is looking popular isn't it :)

Have to also bare in mind that the 12X is always going to go DOWN in value, where as the Viasho RPL is 50% off and I would almost certainly be able to sell it for a profit at a later date, or at least get my money back.

But then again, 550mW of custom 12X Blu-ray goodness is sounding good :D

@Niko:

I have a 150mW o-like module in an ehegumus host :)

hmmm, didnt think of that.

man, tough decision.

i would still get blu-ray though seeing as how there arent many 500mw+ blu-rays around right now.

I would buy an RPL-400 since the only thing I really care about in a laser is beam. Everything else comes second.

Keep in mind that these in the Viasho GB are not RPLs. They are, however, what an RPL is made from.

RPLs start with the Viasho, but have better components, better warranty, QC, Jack's TLC and stateside (Mead, Colorado) customer service.

OR -- don't be an appliance opperator.
Build a 405 12X yourself and carry it with pride!!!! YES....

I say go for it... sell your soul...get one of each... :whistle:
There is no choice for that in your poll...

You already have a 171mW greenie, so a 250mW peaking green laser will not be much of a step up, you will barely be able to tell the difference visibly. The 400mW peaking green would definitely be a step up from your 171mW, but it isn't cheap. The 12x blu-rays will always be dropping in price so if you wait awhile the price will come down some...
