Sinner copper core 2X26650 NUGMO3

Hi LPF,
Want to share a great host I forgot about a Sinner 2X26650. In it is a NUMGO3 diode open can/SXD /G2 . I swapped the focus adapter and machined a copper one to compliment the copper core.Enjoy all , Like a blast from the past.

Looking good, Rich, like you say, "a blast from the past"; you can't go wrong with a sinner host, especially one one like this that has the personal "Lifetime" touch!

-Edit- Rich, I'm not familiar with that NUGM03 diode, what kind of output are you getting with it? Nevermind, I see the output, 1100mW.

I think that was one of the last hosts sinner put out for sale. It looks a bit like his MS-SSW-II host, but without the fins on the heat sink. I have two of those in my collection. One with an NDB7875 doing 3 watts and another with an NDG7475 doing 1100 mW. I used one of DTR's two element 520nm AR coated lenses on the green as it works better than the G2.

Thank you for the positive replies friends. The O3's tree a treat also next to the 700's and the 7475's . nAnd yes Paul I will try the 520 lens I have quite a few to. It will remove the die reflection ..

Hey I am impressed the the O3;s to pal great choice , have banks of 06's and 07's have to see the the out come,

@BTG,Yes its 1100mW's and yes a best from the past I have a few more of Sulman's host that I have never built. So its just hard to determine what to put in them buddy.

Yes, the die reflection was the main reason I used that lens over the G2. I got a half dozen of them when I found them to remove the die reflection from even the Sharp diodes too.

Paul....Is the lens you are referring to as the " DTR's two element 520nm AR coated lenses " the G8 ???? If so....Yes....THIS removes the box/reflection artifact.....completely....and NO loss of power !!

It's a nice shape and I think would look good in solid brass including the focus knob and thumb button as well as a smaller unit for 1 x 18650 or 2 x 18350

It only gets rid of the rectangular artifact, but at less output power. I don't think the G8 was available when I made that post. I suppose I should be more precise when mentioning how these lenses are better in certain builds.
