Shipping in the US

I've got a 1W 447nm Dragonlasers handheld laser I've been trying to sell locally, to no avail. You'd think with the millions of people around my city, there'd be someone that wants it. But no dice. Anyways, I'm guessing this is not the sort of thing that's safe to post on ebay and I worry about shipping it, even within the US, as I think it's prohibited to send them through the mail. Is it safe to ship these lasers? If so, I might post it on here.

Yes. It is safe to ship in the US. They don't inspect or open your package. Everybody on here ships in the US all the time. And even internationally.

How do you think you got it in the first place? By shipping it! LOL

In my experience it isn't a problem. Just makes sure it is packaged well to reduce any shipping damage. Don't send it with batteries in it, or in the same package for that matter. If you want to go to the extreme, you can mail the laser, and the tail cap separate but I've never done that.

Thanks for the responses. I was wondering why some people mailed them disassembled, and I wasn't going to try to disassemble mine.

you have nothing to worry about shipping within the US
it is unnecessary to break apart the laser and ship it piece by piece unless money is irrelevant

You post in the Buy/Sell/Trade board, mention that you have been trying to sell it, and then think it is rude that someone misinterpreted your post as you wanting to buy, sell, or trade something? :thinking:
