Ah, i see your contraptions are getting bigger!
Looks really good with all those diodes in the bar - you think it will provide enough heatsinking when you run them all at full power?

yes it will provide perfect heat sinking.

the blocks only get lightly warm when touching wiht ya hand

needs a little bit of tweaking as i can get a slightly better beam but you get the idea

Cool :)

I didnt realize how thick that baseplate was at first, i suppose that alone will make a decent heatsink. So whats the next plan? Add another set of 6, and then PBS them into a >2 watt red?

why cant this forum resize photos like everyother bloody forum!!

base plate is like 8mm thick.

na that plate is gona get cut to size and ill probably sell this setup. i was just doing some testing on a few parts.

once i iron out a few design issues the plan is for a 3watt module polarized in one direction so you can combine two for 6watts

Very nice Andy, I can't wait to see the finished 6 watt model.
This is the aproach I'm going to take when I start on my projector ;)

Awsome build again andy..

Do you do all your own metalwork and mounts? there spot on.

+1

umm i have done in the past but i know someone with a cnc so he did the diode block and i brought the mounts.

getting someone to do it for you is so much quicker ;)

Does this freind of yours do foreigners?

Theres soimething i need.
