Yeah and in America you can have whatever laser you want... I made sure these things were legal before I bought... I don't even care about my $385 anymore... I just wanna make sure no one else gets robbed

FWIW - I just settled 3 PayPal claims. I filed (first disputed then escalated) as not having received the item. The seller provided PayPal a tracking number for one of them. PayPal then asked me again if I had received it. I replied 'no' and PayPal ruled in my favor.

C0ldshadow. He's unrelated to Eitan outside of the site sponsorship. We've all been asking for the banner to get taken down, but there may be legal issues with doing so.

I've been using eBay and PayPal since they started up (got my eBay account in 1998 and whenever PayPal was created). Out of a couple thousand transactions, I ran into trouble maybe a dozen times and out of those dozen, either eBay or PayPal got all my money back.
I've also bought lasers here from people on LPF and fortunately used PayPal since I just recovered $700 from three transactions that went bad. Unfortunately for me I still have another $500 at risk with the same seller because that transaction happened over 180 days ago which is past PayPal's time limit to file a claim. I'm hoping the seller decides to do the right thing. Most people will know well ahead of 180 days if something's not right and which point can file a claim. It's really a safe way to do commerce over the internet which puts you in reach of stores all over the planet.
Otherwise your choices are pretty limited if you want them close by - which is why the internet was created, no wait I think it was for scientists to share data - no wasn't it a pet project of Al Gore's?, anyway being able to shop worldwide is very nice.
