Scanpro20's!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen anything about ILDA connectors anywhere on there site or in the manual........

the ILDA input is part of the DMX demo board, the scanners themselves only have +/- differential inputs

I paid around a grand total of $310usd shipped

that includes the entire scanner system with psu, dmx board, and all cables needed to wire it

the company is based in Australia but the parts ship from china (what a surprise)

LOL !!!! Do you have ILDA software already ? I'd love to see pics of what you get, and see how it all goes together for you ! I have been messing around with stepper motors, not galvos - and am eager to "upgrade" soon - funds are of course super tight - but that price isn't too bad at all !

I'm still working on the software and DAC end of the lasershow system, but I've already had a RGY system lashed up http://youtube.com/watch?v=vWFn7WMivcQ (running on the DMX board's internal sound active mode)
I think I have that song. What DMX board are you using? My scanpro just came in today and I have a 500mW green coming in next week from CNI so I need to get on the rest of the parts.

Do does that mean its a DMX and DAC? :-[ or is it just the connector ready for a DAC? OH AND THEY ON THERE WAY!!! woohoo! ;D

the scan pro 20 comes with a DMX board that has input for ILDA from a dac.
This means that you buy a SEPERATE dac and that goes between the laptop and the DMX board.

to clarify DMX is a protocol for programing the movement. Its a simplee protocol that is used in stage lighting..
since the board has the ability to move the mirrors, and turn the laser on an d off, it was a short leap to add a chip that could understand the ILDA output from a DAC... so they threw it in.. basicaly that makes it a galvo controllor program board that accepts input from DMX/ILDA/Sound..

yup the DMX board can run from fixed pre-programmed patterns, or it can run from the ILDA input, you still need a DAC however since the ILDA wiring system is still analog

Man, these galvo's look nice! if I bought galvo's, i'd replace the steppers in my RGY with them. Should be a easy build ...... IF I had the funds :'(

Anyone wanna buy Things a pair of galvo's? :P

Mine just got here! or should i say i just got back from work! now it is build time.... photos to come!
