anyone know what the scanpro 20's run in price and what is included / needed?

besides the kit what else do i need.

lasers
power supplies
mirrors
motors
?????

i would recommend going direct to laserpics in china, they offer very good prices.

you may even want to consider 30k scanners.

i got some from laserpics and am very happy with them

you need -

scanners comes with a psu
laser comes with a psu
maybe a controller DAC

you dont need any mirrors with a single colour setup

anyone know where i can get just a dmx board for the sp20. Thanks

@ andy:

Could you please tell us more about laserpic Galvos? (Review)

I send you a PM but you dant answered :(

sorry i hate PM's LOL

dont have time to do a review.

but what i can say is they are good scanners (30k)

i would recommend them

oh... good to know ;)

so i red on PL you compared them to your DT40pro's
and besides this size-problem - how they beat each other?

thx

well they are not as good as my dt40's but then my dt40's have been tunned by pangolin so...

i have sorted the size issue now

i got ILDA testframes from laserpic, they look really good for this price, only one thing to mention is that the circle is slightly off-center, and much more the "Y", its on the top line not below.

andy, how much speed the 30k's are maximum (w/ + w/o tuning) able to do at 8°?

^^^ say again???

look at the spec from laserpics and see what it says.

all scanners can be tunned so if the circle is slightly off it can be corrected.

maybe i will start with an 12k set at first. then later get the 30k ones. actually its 200$, darry says.
problem: we have only 150€ tax free import per package here in D :D

@ andy: i know the specs. but one wise man wrote to me:
"Yeah, it sucks, but it's true that most Chinese galvos do not live up to the specifications listed in the manual" ;)

I have laserpic 30Ks and they are fine.  I spent some time tuning them and got the ILDA test frame to be perfect.  For $250 for a pair of 30K scanners I son't think you can beat them.  Last I checked the 15K scanners they sell were $80 and the 20K scanners were something like $150.

yea those scanners work just fine
the do need some fine tuning in most cases but the perform wel for the money

this can be true. 30k scanners from laserpics wont be as good quality as some from cambridge. but you buy what you can afford
