As I said before guys, DO NOT try to do something that can get you AND Rob in trouble, and can be used against you later at some point.

Don't go hacking around. That's not a smart thing to do.

Rob must pursue the action as a legal matter, to finally get around the scammer and get his money or laser back.

Preferably laser, since he already got some deposit, and getting back the laser would mean he is that deposit in plus.

I know that the entire forum is angry with scammers, since it can happen not only to our friends here, but also to us.
But we must stay level headed if we are to help Rob resolve the situation.

Hacking the guy's computer, as tempting as it sounds, is NOT helping out.
It's a personal vendetta, and can only do harm. It's not getting Rob the laser nor money.

Rob is very sick it would appear, he has not answered him PMs as fast as he usually does, and he does not post on the thread. He said he'd went to a doctor first thing in the morning - which I guess he did, and he's listening to a man saying he needs rest if he is to pull through this sh*t.

Biddar - I hope you are aware of situation every time you click the button of the laser. Every time you turn it on, or show it off to your friends, remember that you stole it. It's not yours.

Hi Guys, Fever FINALLY broke, YAAAY !!!!! Police aren't any help in scammers town, they say it constitutes Harrasement. I'll have to investigate other avenues to pursue this. Thanks for all the loyal support that I received from the Members of our Forum. I just MIGHT have to bite the bullet on this, & be out the remaining $275.00 ($400.00 minus $125.00 in donations = $275.00) The MOST irritating thing is that the scammer may win this, which doesn't sit right with me. There should be SOME way he should be able to be made to pay up, IDK WHAT to do now, IDEAS ANYONE ?
About my health. I'm still sick, but my fever has finally broke, although I'm STILL weak, dehydrated, etc. but getting better finally. Thanks for all your support guys. Your pal, rob
 
Glad to hear you're feeling better, but it's a shame the police are of no help. You should hire Thomas Magnum! :na: Seriously, the only thing I can think of is filing a lawsuit against him, but that would probably end up costing a lot more than he stole from you.

Hell, even if you are totally broke and without lasers, health is more important than anything and now that it's settling right as it should be, that's one thing less to worry about, right?

I would have no idea about any other ways though, as I am quite unfamiliar with any foreign laws and regulations, but as you said there MUST be something.

You said you found his parents on facebook? If contacting them does not work, try contacting their friends, and neighbours if you can find them.

There must be a way to get their attention although I am not very sure about the outcome as he is 19 years old (is he?), and parents cannot control him as they would have if he was a minor.

Hmm...

Perhaps you have any relatives or friends that are in one trip's range of his house?
Explain them the situation and let them try to talk to the Biddars, somebody must note that it's serious.

I am very happy to hear you are feeling better. Could you please PM me as detailed as possible what you told the police and what their response was?
I have dealt with two previous cases similar to this, and the police was very cooperative.

Talk in a forum by 3rd parties is not harassment, especially on your part Rob.
All you need to do is follow each step I gave you last week in an earlier post and you will get the guy busted. It's been 100% successful for me on any commited by someone in the United States.
I find it very hard to believe that any police dept. would even mention harassement....What did you say? I know it's easier to just forget about it when you have forum members sending you cash, but please put in the effort to get this guy caught and demand to file a police report and report with the postmasters office and follow though with the steps that are tried and true to get this guy what he deserves.

About the police, They said that THEY could be investigated for harassment.

I'll be in & out all day Today, my WIFE now has what I shared with her, YIKES !!!!!
Is she PISSED !!!!!!!! "Couldn't keep it to yourself, could you ?????". Have to go re-supply all the MEDS now for her, cash is in short supply, & I'm not 100% yet. Around & around it goes, GEE!!!!!!!! rob

Go to small claims court and fill out a warrant to have his wages garnished until it is paid off. And mention to him a black mark will be put on his credit and no bank will loan him money until it is paid off. Mi dad did that when he had the same thing happen to him over a computer.

You can't go to Small Claims Court to "fill out a warrant to have his wages
garnished until it is paid off"...
He has to be convicted of owing you some money first...:undecided:

That's just common sense...:cool:

We might need a fund raiser for the court fees if I can't cover them myself. Waiting for phoenix to give the court in Barnegat a call.
 
Up here in Canada Small claims Court costs about $30.00 to
file a case...
Not sure about the USA...
