Sanwu Siver switch problems

Sounds like it got worked out. Glad to hear it. Now it's time for some happy and safe laseing. Enjoy that puppie ! :)

Anticipating the parts from Lifetime I decided to go outside and point it at the stars. Now this crazy laser is only operating at a very low level. My batteries are fully charged and I am getting good contact but it just puts out a weak blue stream. I guess I will have to send the Silver back for warranty repair.
Any reason this laser would go down in it's power level?

The diode used in your laser is NDB7875 and it's a very tough diode, it doesn't seem like the diode is responsible to the problem from our experience.

I think you can try at least run a test to bypass the tailcap with a multimeters first since you disassembled the switch assembly multiple times.

The laser may also entered safety lock function, we will send you instructions on how to unlock it.

Sounds right Podo--sound like he locked it----the tailcap switch can be easily bypassed to test functions
 
I will give the unlocking a try when I get home. With this being a single mode I didn't know it would have a lockout mode.
Encap, what is the best way to bypass for test functions? I don't own a good multi-meter but I do have access to one at work.
I just hope that the way this switch is working it will send the right signal the five times I half push the button.

Pmed you on how to bypass the tailcap with a multimeters.

If you're unable to get out the safety lock, you can try the bypass method.

Also if you can provide us a video or picture, we can have a better look of the issue.

Single mode--what are you talking about?

Everything you have been saying applies to multi operations mode switching system.

Your the one who ordered it.
Did you order it with single mode switch which is just an on/off clicky switch--one push on and one push off or with multi operations mode switching that includes low power, half power, strobe, full power, sos and safety lock(<1mw) ?

From the Sanwu Silver web site:
"Single mode
On / off

Multi operations mode
Low power, half power, strobe, full power, sos and safety lock(<1mw)
Half-tap the tail switch to cycle between each mode, our driver will always starting with the last operation mode that used for more than three seconds

Electronic lock
To prevent unauthorized use, half-tap the tail switch three times within the first three seconds after the laser is on and wait another three seconds to let the the beam turns dim which indicates the laser has been locked

Unlocks
Repeat the same process but half-tap five times instead, wait three seconds after the input "

Just follow the instructions Podo gives you.

Some single mode driver does come with an electronic lock, it varies on the diode using in the laser.

Did he order a single mode Sanwu Silver 445nm 3000mW and if so does it have an electronic lock mode?
If that is the way the single mode Sanwu Silver 445nm 3000mW is, there is no mention of it on the Silver series web page----just on/off and multi operations mode with safety lock.

Maybe put:
Single Mode: On/Off with electronic lock on some output powers(or list them)

Well that's what it was. Locked out. Three times for lockout then five times to unlock. Weird thing is there are no blinks , it just ramps up.
I guess my crazy button is messing with the programming.

Now I'm curious, what are my two output levels? Is the lower less than one watt?

Glad you finally got it worked out, the button takes a little getting use to but in the end she work pretty good. :)

It should say on their page what the output levels should be ?

Gotta ask though, which two more lasers did you order! :gj:
