Hey Rich, I just received the 2 x Sharp GH04C05B9G 440nm 5W that I paid 35.00 each for from Chinese ebay seller " sabhz21 " only they were 600mw 520nm diodes which have the same big window apparently, have you received any of these Sharp 5W blues yet ?

This is what the 600mw 520 I received looks like.

Hi Robert,
No I haven't received them it will be a while with this mess going on over there in comm country.
I have those 600mW 520's bought them a while back and did I few builds for customers. They can be pushed to 900mW's easy, but with all my diodes I put them on a PSU first to see how efficient one from another are. Some can take it and some can't.
On the Sarp Blue I am assuming that to keep it close to 440nm the threshold setting would be ok. But if you wish to achieve 5+ W's thats not the case here. Did one in this host did over 1W a bit dont know how long it will last though.

its yellow Brass with w high polish. It finishes up really nice. I figured it would contrast on the Trans Blue powder coating

Cool you sold the fan cooled 44 host
I'm hoping who ever bought will post about it.
The other 26650 Carbon Wrapped Big Boys are nice!

Hi GSS,
Yes that was nice build with the extra cooling for the diode and driver the customer also took 2X18650 Panasonics and a charger.
Those 2x26650 and 26500 builds had a brass sink bored out for a DTR 25mm heat sink. They came out nice with the polished brass sink and tail cap. Also had a 19mm latching switch installed ..
If the customer wishes to post the 44 thats totally up to them I dont encourage , but would be nice though.
