Hi ,
I will weigh it with and without batteries surely over a pound overall.
@ BM,
I set all my 44's to 4.5a and they come in at mostly 6800+ And then some. 8W's might be with a driver set to 5A if the diode is very efficient. Even at 6800 mW is still killer .
Working on another 495nm this one is really cool, AL sink with a CU core. set to 220mA,

Here is a Solar Force host in Stainless, the AL sink fills the entire bell down to the Battery tube. It also has a Copper core pressed in with a copper focus adapter.
495nm diode set to 220mA/3 element lens/2X18350's .

Hi, Guys Thanks for the effort though, yes the Solar Force adds a nice touch to the 495nm beam and the host is very well built. It has character with the super bright finish .

Very nice looking host, Rich. What driver did you use? One of astralist's generic drivers? Just wondering as I try to set these at 275 mA or a little higher.

This time i had driver set to 220/225mA no i didn't even take Astrals drivers out of the package.

I locked down a nice infinity focus with a drilled out module with black cardstock inside for a nice clean beam with no lens flair.

I like the look of these skyrays, do you have any more?

Yes they are timeless and look as good as any of the new FL housings, I love the 2 square edged rubber rings, they give a perfect finger grip for 1 hand operation and they accept the 501 tail caps too. Save another for me Rich, I want to do another build with this host.

Ok i meant the same thing but i used different wording . Sorry for misunderstanding I will try it on the 495 build ..I will make mine in CU to match the CU core in the Solar Force build.

Hi Red,
Yes they are getting scarce i remember when there were many vendors selling these . I guess when mine are gone well thats it for the host unless some are found at that time.
