RGB laser, Too good to be true??

Yeah, its a small laser show projector... and?

JETLASERS are coming out wit a hand held RGB laser soon, keep an eye out for that.

just wondering if i should stay away from it =( I want a RGB projector for new years but dont have more than 200$ to spend

You probably should. It'd have extremely slow galvos (stuttering, flickering beamshows and graphics), and the color balance is horrible.

150mW of red, 100mW of green and 50mW of violet? That'd produce a poop shade of cyan on a good day. There's too much and green and not enough violet.

damn =*(, are there any just white beam lasers? (RGV/RGB) but premade?

... Say what?

Is there a thread about this? This is something I'd preorder without bothering to think about rationally.

After my conversations with Gray it seems that only the design for the 3 aperture ones are sorted right now, (3 individual beams). They are not fully manufactured just now but on the way so we wait. I wonder what power outputs they are looking at?

A white module this small is far from impossible. There will be more of these on offer soon I don't doubt.

I'm not sure when they are expected to arrive, but I can't wait to get one my hands on one! To be honest power output is not too important its quality I'm after and I'm 110% sure JL will deliver on quality.

looks like they will have 3 types:
1. Mono mode RGB portables. The hosts is basically machined and will be available very soon.
What features this mono mode RGB is self-evident, Three apertures on a single laser, for green, red, bluray beam each.
2. Multi mode RG, RGB with beam combination features. The one and only aperture for three beams. Each color to be able to come on independently and in conjunction with the other colors.
3. Muli mode RGBB/Full-color Portables, which can form six or seven colors in all.

^ LOL, you too made projects for a round handheld RGB pointer with summing beams and central output ?

I searched to build a prototype, but have no access to machines, and machinists here asks a lung and an eye, for a custom work :p

This would seem to indicate that the new pico-projectors for use in handheld electronics for video projections are coming along quickly.
I have been watching and waiting with anticipation trying to figure out how it will affect the hobbiest market...the pricing for the related components should drop significantly while the avaialability of parts will increase dramatically.
A very good thing for us !
