Edit: i can´t find the information how many Nanometers your Arctic actually has. You should highlight the most important informations a bit more without forcing everybody to read your hole post.

The laser wavelengths are shown under the laser's spectra themselves; but to benefit others who may read this thread and wonder what the wavelengths are:

439.48nm on "low"
441.40nm on "high"

I'll see what I can do to highlight the wavelengths in my opening post. :thumbsup:

Ok, tomorrow morning's update will have the wavelengths near the top of the post (bold and highlighted in yellow) as well as with their associated spectra. :)

Damn, a little loooong winded, no? And a good shave would help with credibility.

It is a great review. I just dont want to spend a half hour reading it.

That review impressed the shit out of me and the beard made it even better:cool:. 99% of that review was 100% out of my league but I still found it fascinating. And who says you have to view it all at one time? That's what the "Save as Favorites" option is for:na:

I say "The_LED_Museum" should receive instant epic status regardless of the product reviewed.
 
In some of the beam shots there are red spots on the ceiling. Can you tell us what they are? They are the photos just before the big yellow WL sticker.

Also I dont care if you have been reviewing for 50 years, no one is perfect, and there is always room for improvement. You have a great review, I've said this, but the filler is garbage, and it pollutes the science of your review.

Talk about polluting! Hey Mr. Scrutiny, why not take up your issues with his review in a PM so others can actually enjoy the thread? All your negative shit slinging aka "filler" is really stinkin' up the place.
 
I'd have too agree with tech, the review being filled with large amounts of useful information also had some things there that are useless in a review. Tech wasn't being negative, he was just being tech, saying what needs to be said. He gave Led a rep, so how is that negative?

If I had to guess I would say that these spots are from the red ON-light from a other cam in his room.

I also criticized his review a bit that he should highlight the most important informations for example. Nothing in the world is perfect. LED also earned my +rep!!

Commenting on the length or "filler" is not where I see the problem. But the beard? Did he really have to go there? LED more than likely spent a HUGE amount of time putting this stuff out there to benefit people interested in the product. So it probably didn't feel too good that he had to justify to the LPF community why he can't shave his face. Not cool:scowl:
I don't care if Tech_Junkie has a few thousand positive ratings and is an outstanding memeber of the community. He said something that was out of line and an apology whether posted or PM'd would probably go much further in LED's book than a +plus rating.

Looks who's cluttering up the thread now. I said my piece, LED said his. It was over. Why do you keep dragging it out with 3 quotes? If it bothered you that much you should take your own advice and PMed me. If this is not negative, and useless filler, I dont know what is. You are the drama queen here. Let it go, we did days ago.

Those are from a LASERPOD that was operating in the room when those photographs were taken.
Guess I should go ahead and add that to my evaluation as well. :D

Can you tell me why there is a difference in wavelength in ~low~ and !high! power?

The "foggy" video is the new one as of yesterday, anyway. :)
I say "as of yesterday" because I published another video this morning -- it's the "NAME THAT SOUND" one about partial failure of the high-power "lens".

As far as the difference in wavelength between "low" and "high" power...well, to be honest, I'm simply not qualified to answer that question. :(
445nm directly-injected laser diodes are pretty much as new to me as they are to most everybody else.

With many types of blue LEDs, higher drive current gives SHORTER wavelength -- exactly the opposite of what's happening here.
