Alright, and I know you answered this already...

But since they are high quality..how come the engraving on the Libra comes off so easily? How come they didn't make it thicker?
 
Quite frankly I don't know. But also note the engraving isn't coming off just the black coating and after discussion, I think it's supposed to do that. It makes the letters stand out after all.

Actually...I was thinking of maybe buying another Libra because I would much rather like all the letter's being the same...don't know if it's worth $21...what do you think?
 
Yeah I was going to ask, did they reply yet? Give them a bit. In the mean time don't worry about it. I know the scratch on your Ferrari is just staring back at you mocking you, but wait till you have had it for a while. But if its bothering you that bad, send that sucker back!

The important part is its lasing perfectly. That's what you bought it for.
 
Also this has nothing to do with the thread but I found LG also seems to have the same advertising as WL...

and I have yet to see it disproved. though i would amend it as something like:

"the most powerful green laser in a portable format while still retaining reliability and stability" there are a few other good contenders though such as the RPL series lasers, but the herc has a few small advantages in my opinion.

I also don't know if it's just me but I really like the rule they imposed on not shipping anything over 5mW to the US.

Well, If more companies did that there wouldn't be as many laws and/or high powered lasers in the market :)
 
I like and hate it. I want to be able to get my higher powered lasers, but I also respect why they're trying to limit them. I'd honestly trade my portables for labbies. I don't mind having to plug them into AC. Honestly I'm all for that. but not everyone can pay xxxx.xx for a laser in EVERY COLOR. Gas is my best friend in some cases for this. my first 594 was my HeNe laser. similar output, but a perfect beam profile and far superior stability by FAR. and it beats paying multiple thousands for a solid state one

Edit: though I do admit gas lasers are like that too new. but they're easier to find in surplus, and still outperform the solid state lasers in many cases. plus you can play with the cavity, you cant do that with solid state lasers either.
