U think or the members with numbers like 200 rep power go down or all of these others go up. There's just a huge difference between ones and others. I understand you try your best some have too much and others have too less.

I also understand that donating is important and deserves some rep, but some of us can't afford donating as much as we would like to. Each one contributes the way he's able to!

I think the way you have handled it so far is good as is...:cool:
you have been fair to the deserving members...IMO

The only thing I would like to see is a Comment when you
give Random Rep Points to members so that all members see
why the Points increase was applied....:yh:

that's a good idea too, but I think when he sets it he just edits the datebase manually...

i usually manually edit the rep number instead of leaving comment

i do agree leaving a feedback would probably be better but there isn't as an efficient way to do it during mass updates. in the future i will try and leave a rep comment for users, especially if they what they did to get the boost might be transparent (e.g. donations related boost (usually this can be seen tho in the donations webapp if they used it to donate), helping with graphics, linking back)
 
actually those boosts were much bigger than I expected lmao
 
he actually responded, however I still agree on this. Maybe it could be as easy as this:

First he add rep the way we all do it and leave the comment, then he sets it manuallly. Virtually it's like if his "post approval" gave the points :D
 
ywah i just started setting some stuff manually (for Russ, Jerry, Dave, and u too albert)

if anyone in particular needs manual feedback plz email me and i will find a post and write them a manual feedback

Cool down guys --- The rep system has its flaws like any other place on the net. What is its value -REALLY. REALLY . It won't get you a free cup of coffee anywhere.
It is a nice reward system but leave it at that.

to make it easier for me to update peoples reputation comments, if someone wants, they can craete a thread for the sole purpose of this... where people post a a short message if they need a comment added... then i have one master page i can browse to to update ppl... makes it a lot more convenient

just an idea heh

Yeah, I don't think anyone is really upset about the rep boosts, they generally go to people that are/have been helpful on the forum in the past and present.

Though it does beg the question, where do you guys go from here, I mean me +reping daguin is like adding a pebble on top of Mount Everest...:p

I think the actual rep system would suit a forum with more users, but here as brtaman said, it's like adding stones at the top of the mountains lol
