Red laser white

I'm using the same pin out that the 650nm laser would have used. So this:

Which confuses me since the pin out for the PHR I supposedly have uses negative where I have no wire. Yet it works.

So you Have a PHR-805T as I thought.:)

They have been tested for a little higher power then a PHR-803T but not Much Safely.

Wait, I just said that the pinout I was using was wrong for the PHR. If it was a PHR, I put positive in positive and negative on case, and not negative. Unless the 805t is a similar pinout to the lpc-825

^^^ Exactly the 805's have the Same Pin out as LPC-826 do.:)

The 803's have the same pin out as 445nm laser doo.

Ah! Okay, that makes sense! Thanks!

Well, at 90mA the thing was managing to burn through tape and lit a match, both a bit slowly but definitely doable. Any other tests I can preform to confirm this is the PHR 805t?

It must be a PHR805 with that pinout, since the 803 has a different pinout.

I'd suggest feeding it about 110 mA from a reliable source and see what power you get.

Okay, but should I listen to this thread? More specifically this area:

30mA lasing threshold lasing threshold
40mA 2mw 6mw
50mA 13mw 22mw
60mA 24mw 37mw
70mA 35mw 52mw
80mA 52mw 68mw
90mA 60mw 82mw
100mA 71mw 101mw
110mA 82mw 112mw
120mA 88mw 125mw
130mA 105mw 136mw
140mA 113mw 148mw
150mA 128mw 162mw
160mA 140mw 183mw
170mA 136mw 194mw
180mA 154mw 207mw
190mA 158mw 223mw
200mA LED! LED!

And it went to say that 140mA was a nice area to do it without much danger. Though to be on the safe side I will do 110 first. :)

what a funny thread to read through!
its good to know that you figured out what diode it was and what-not
reminds me of when i was doing electronic experiments back in grade 8 :P
idk what component it is how how i hooked it up, but it works! :D
