Quick Review | 960mW + 635nm Red Laser in a Polished SF501B

Hi Everyone

After a lot of 445nm builds ... someone asked me for a 635nm laser. So I built one for him.

This laser uses the mitsubishi 500mW diode. And with a driver set to 1400mA it does over 960mW with G2 and over 600mW with normal glass lens.

Power Check :

This one is not a regular 501B. It has been polished to mirror finish

I will also start to take pre-orders for these 635nm lasers. So ... if anyone wants one ... :beer:

Furthermore , a polished host option will be added to the SF501B sale page soon.

After all , it has been a nice build. Polishing was a bit hard and time consuming but ... it was worth it

This is a very nice color indeed. In my opinion it is better looking and much more classic than the 445nm blue.

Look , it is not really a review. It is like everyones opens a thread after building a laser.

It is the same exact thing. I am not judging my self here so ... as I said it is not really a review.

I should have opened it in another section ... but that's history. Will do it next time :beer:

Ooooo love the host, my 700mw+ 635nm with the same mits diode shifts a bit over time towards 650nm+. Get any of that on this one?

They all shift a bit. Didn't really check that with this build.

The single little thing that I didn't really liked is the color of the host, but this is one of my minor preferences. Black is look more durable.
