PS3 Diode?

I've purchased several. Unfortunently I dont have the eqipment to prove it exactly. But i Did compare it to my 50mW, and it is at LEAST 3x brighter.... To be fair I think its 150mW~180mW just by judging by sight.

interesting........ makes since i guess. So how much mW would a 405nm burner be?

3x brighter? Members of LPF have determined that a 532nm laser has to be 4 times the mW power of another laser to be twice as bright. So that means if the 50mW is really 50mW than you bought a 600mW green laser for $50. Congratulations!! But seriously, did you test them when they both had full batteries?

yup...

Shades of Jake21?

He gives me the heebie jeebies!

It doesn't matter how much science you give to some people, they insist on trusting their own senses.

Let's do a little experiment . . .

How many mW is this beam putting out?

Nice beam, eh?

Now, how many mW is this beam putting out?

If you cannot come up with real numbers, that's OK. I'll let you "estimate" by your "3 times as bright" method. How many "times" brighter is the second beam?

If you want to cheat I'll put the power in the next line down. Just highlight it to see
They are the same laser putting out 115mW

Did you cheat?

Peace,
dave

Yeah... I really like the "Stick a wet finger into the Wind" method
to get an accurate wind speed....
You never know... maybe he has bionic eyes....
