Preview/Update [4/4] FINAL RELEASE: The Cypreus II - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

Re: [Preview/Teaser]: The Cypreus - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

I have a 30mW 680nm diode coming but I am tempted to do a mitsubishi P73 build. I doubt there is enough space to add corrective optics but even an uncorrected 638 could be nice.

Re: [Preview/Teaser]: The Cypreus - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

30mW 685nm is too dimm. But iirc the rated 50mW version can be pushed to 150mW!

I hate fat beams :p

Sinner you son of a gun... Just hook the copper to my veins

Re: [Preview/Teaser]: The Cypreus - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

Shoot, just snort the dust under your lathe. :P let me know how that goes.

Re: [Preview/Update 3/3]: The Cypreus Series II - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

When are they going to be for sale? :) :D

Re: [Preview/Teaser]: The Cypreus - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

Where is the TITANIUM version :p

Titanium is one of the worst choices for a heat-sink. It's nearly an insulator. It is however one of the best choices for cool.

Sinner what alloy copper are you using for these? I too am interested in knowing the price, they look fantastic!

I think sinner made the Titanium host out of a copper core.

They'll soon be offered once I am done restocking MS-SSW's and Copper Pen hosts, I might start a pre-order run for these at a special discounted price.

This is a standard spec C101 (ASTM F68) Oxygen-free Copper , I havent decided on a price yet but it will be $180 or close to it.

Yes thank you, The Ti-Cu version has a copper core but the outer part is completely made of Titanium , It came out so nice there's a picture in the OP I just updated.

Getting ready for the next generation of high power diodes I see.

I already know I won't be able to afford it, but maybe one day :)

Maybe so :D And not just for the next generation diodes but It's designed for longevity of the diode at enthusiastics over-driven high current setups.

Thanks for the kind words

Oh poop, why do they have to be so expensive? :(

Copper isn't cheap or easy to work with.

Yeah...
You should make a steel or zinc series too that's exactly the same for people with less of a budget @sinner :)

Re: [Preview/Update 3/3]: The Cypreus Series II - Custom Copper Host by Sinner

Well the protoypes cost considerably a lot if additional tooling is required, But once everything is there the production run always saves a lot of money which is why presale prices are quite a bit low, I donot make a lot of profits selling hosts but I do okay. As long as you want one just let me know and I'll make sure to make it worth your money.

I don't know yet. I pretty short on money right now
