Yeah, that's right... unless you paid before you were told you were able to pay, you're SOL it seems.

It sounds like some big spenders came in at the last minute and bought large quantities, buying up all the sleds we expressed interest in.

If only we could have paid tomorrow, I really did want three like I said.

Many people do not understand (or know about) the "jobber/distributer/drop shipper." Just like with the Toshiba drives only one company could be the "pool" for all of the resellers/distributors of these sleds. They ALL report the number of units that the jobber holds. They ALL draw from that same "well." So when it looks like there are 10 companies with 100 units each, there is really only one jobber with 100 units.

It could be that the last time she looked at the supplier's listing, there were 200 available. However, in the mean time some other distributor (or one of our group buys) drained the "source." It could also be that someone else came in and offered her more per unit than you were paying. It's easier to tell you they're gone than justify invalidating an "implied" agreement to keep selling to you.

Remember, we don't even know if these are still being made or not. There really isn't any reason to keep making them. This strength of diode is NOT needed to read DVD's and the 6X and 8X are the ones being put into the blu-ray burners now. The diode in the DT-0811 sled is good enough to satisfy the promised support for the HD DVD units for one year. I don't see any reason for these diodes to continue to be manufactured.

Maybe we'll get lucky and find where some DVD maker is "dumping" the surplus 6X diodes in a couple of months (after the 8X hits the market in full force).

if absolutely anyone backs out or has problems with payment, the funds have made it to my paypal account a day too late... I'll pick up whatever you have left, as many as 5. Aixiz modules to go with them too.

can't wait to get my hands on some of these, even if half of them have broken diodes, it's still a great deal :)
