I never thought people would grow that as a houseplant. You can find it all over where I live. It can spread easily if you don't keep it under control outside. FYI, they can get REALLY big. I'll try to take a picture of one I pass by fairly often.

Its sold in garden shops as small potted plants in summer in the UK as its to cold to survive outside most of the year its kept on a warm sunny widow sill as a house plant . The seeds are available from a lot of online places too .

I have herd its quite invasive in its home environment : P .

I got it as a small plant for a few £ in a tiny pot but it shot up once on a warm sunny place and re potted , its currently being time lapses over its flowering run for the next few weeks .

Yah! Cool lava plumes. Spouts blue gases which emit a blue spectrum.
[Felt I had to do something related to lasers :D]

Interesting. Winter kills them off in northern zones.
