Think you're in the wrong thread guys ;)

Just a reminder - this is a thread for pictures YOU have taken, of things that may not be related to lasers, but remember there are the Win and Fail threads in the Other section if your image is more of that nature :)

Shot this in March this year. Jupiter, Sirius and Betelgeuse(Red Giant of Orion) all in one frame. Exif embedded in pic

I've never had any luck getting a shot like that, my camera uses a teeenny backlit sensor, it's very poor in low light :(

^i'd say that pic is at least 15 sec at a high iso (>800). for this, you need a tripod!!! a remote, and possible a lens with a large aperture, depending on how you want to take the pic and how long you want the exposure to be

Get some fish eye lens and set to 2 sec timer with 1200 ISO.
And say hello to Noise if you have a crappy CMOS lol.

Thanks for liking the pic guys.
Its a 40 second expsure at F2.8 at ISO 4000!

Few seconds won't get you this image. I used a Tokina 11-16 lens mounted to the D7000

What you need is
1. Camera capable of bulb mode -> To go above 30 seconds
2. DSLR (APS-C or bigger sensor needed) - For lower noise
3. A fast landscape lens - If you are shooting at F4, your images will come out much darker.

And of course, a tripod is a must.

Cant wait to see that thing finished. Looks super futuristic. Reminds me of Futurama.

That's the exact same setup I use!! I still get quite a bit of noise at 4000ISO though, yours seems super crisp and noise free though! Love the shot! Great work :)
