Post your random pics!

That guy knew you had the fish because of all the cats that were following you around! :D

BTW, that's a nice photo; that place looks damn cold and desolate though.

Wouldn't be surprised!

That said, if my experience with aboriginal people is anything to go by he could probably smell it as he drove by. Aboriginal people seem to have a much better sense of smell than white people. One girl I dated sniffed out a pair of moccasins as soon as we entered the place we were visiting. I couldn't smell anything.

Yeah, Whati is pretty remote. Population is <500. Currently only connected by air or the ice road during winter. Gorgeous scenery out there though.

Here are some nice pics I took of the Christmas lights at and around Rockefeller Center in NYC in the past weeks. There is nowhere like NYC at Christmas time. The church in these pics in St. Patricks Cathedral. You will notice in some of the pics they had shiny metallic spheres in the decorations and my eyes lit up. When it started to get light outside, the reflection of blue in the spheres was fantastic. The main problem photographing them is getting my reflection in the sphere. The ones posted here you can see me and my camera. I have been spending a good amount of time in NYC photographing the past few weeks and now it is back to photographing my lasers. I have something nice set up and will start to photograph it when I get home from work. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Fantastic holiday photos, Bruce!
New York looks beautiful in these pics; they sure do the Christmas holidays in style there!

These photos are just as wonderful to look at as your laser photos, love the variety! :yh:

Awesome Christmas photos of New York, Bruce. St. Patrick's Cathedral reminds me of my childhood and midnight mass on Christmas only to go home and back to bed to wait for daylight.

Absolutely gorgeous photos Bruce.
When I see those pics of Rockefeller Centre it reminds me of the old classic movie "Desk Set" with Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn.

Thanks for sharing, wonderful.

A secluded beach I discovered yesterday in my quest to fly my drone somewhere new.

Looks like a lot of people there for being secluded. Must mean something different in Australia. ;)

Aww man, that looks lovely! What I'd give to be sat on a warm beach with a cold beer right now!

I should go grab a picture of one of the beaches here this weekend, for comparison. Does it still count as a beach if the water is frozen?

hahaha, frozen beach, yeah that still counts diachi.

True Paul, maybe 'secluded' is the wrong word.
What I meant was, it's an out of the way beach, tucked away in a national park so the crowds aren't present like all the other popular beaches around here.

:yh:

Beautiful scenery diachi.
Amazing to see the mountains in the background.
And that water.... mmm

Scotland has some surprisingly nice beaches, at least on the west coast anyway!

The landmasses you see out in the distance are two islands. Isle of Rùm on the right and Isle of Eigg on the left.

I so wish I could visit Scotland.
My bucket list is long but it's one place that's high up on that list.
Haven't been on a holiday for the last 20 odd years.
Last trip I took was 1996, stopped over at Heathrow for a few hours to catch a connecting flight to Israel.

:)

@diachi

Must have been quite a culture shock to go from Scotland to Yellowknife. I didn't mind the cold weather and lots of snow when I was younger. I'm glad to be where I am now as it would be more of a struggle to get around in places like Montana or Colorado in the winter.

Yep, Scotland isn't what comes to my mind straight away for nice beaches but its true. You Scots do have some pretty good ones. :p
Andrew, you should visit the UK in general sometime. ;)
Paul, I think the biggest culture shock for Diachi would of been moving somewhere that can actually deal/cope with the snow. :D The UK has just recently had some, and we are not great with it.

Anyway, it seems my busy period payed of unexpectantly with a little local publicity. I recently had to do a open event in my workplace showcasing what I can do for the college.
I now have an article on my work website and today I found out I had one in my local newspaper. :p

I really wish I photographed better though. I hate my picture being taken yet I had no choice really on this one. :tinfoil::scared:
