You can buy a kinetic bullet puller Amazon.com: RCBS Kinetic Bullet Puller Md: 9415 .: Sports & Outdoors it is the safest way to go!
That is the tool that reloaders us. Using pliers will damage the bullet and/or the brass and is more dangerous than the kinetic puller. The puller is all plastic and no chance of sparks. My buddy has the one that I posted and he reloads a lot, that is where I do all of my reloading. He has a Dillon 1050 and can reload 1000 rounds an hour.I know that's a legit bullet puller, but am I the only one that thinks it's a really bad idea to use a hammer like device to remove your bullet from the case? I just can't help but think all sorts of bad thoughts in regards to this style of bullet remover.
I agree with the previous poster who suggested a pair of pliers and a little leather to protect the bullet. If you are loading your own rounds your loader will most likely also have a bullet puller tool available for it as well which would be the most ideal route to take.
The bullet should be relatively easy to remove. The bullet is put into place then the copper casing is simply crimped around it to hold it in place, but there's no magic locking mechanism of any kind.
Cant own handguns in australia and rifles/shotties dont interest me... so... while over in Calgary, Canada....
ok so its not my gun, but thats me shooting it.
That day I had a play with a S&W M&P 45, a Browning 9mm, beretta 9mm, a six shooter of some kind, and a .22 rifle. I enjoyed the .45 the best, and boy even with the earmuffs on, that gun is loud
Of course when my mate Jim brought out the SKS, that was heaps louder - I didnt have a go with that one - tad too intimidating (for a guy who has never shot a gun, I got to try a good range of firearms that day!)
I really enjoyed my visit to the gun range, but I dont think I would go out of my way to own one if it was legal in Australia to own a pistol without all the red tape. However if I ever wanted to have another go, I'd certainly head down to a range, hire a gun and buy some ammo and shoot some more paper targets
Too much red tape here tho to get a category H license.
Thanks Guys!! I just picked all the pieces I wanted and ordered. Then when arrived at house just put it all together. Only part that is required to go through FFL is Lower Reciever.
