I don't have to be shot in the head to know that it's not a good thing to experience. Likewise, I don't have to experience the mind-crippling effects of a psychoactive drug to know that I don't want to be a mindless, drug-addled zombie. I've been around enough stoners (even in my own family) to know that I don't like the effect it has on the human mind. You're right. I haven't used the "magic herb" - hence the fact that I'm able to live my life without my mind and body craving these drugs. You're so brainwashed by the euphoria you experience that you actually believe the delusion that marijuana "expands" your mind and that you aren't actually addicted to it. It slows your mental processes and makes you unable to form a coherent thought. Tobacco addicts feel that tobacco has a positive effect on their minds as well. This is the exact same biological concept. Utter nonsense.
Also, it is yet another Walt Disney urban myth that he was a user of psychoactives. I'm guessing you also believe that he was a Nazi and that his head is frozen in Area 51. His drug of choice was tobacco, which is a disgusting habit itself. He died of lung cancer because he was a life-long smoker. This doesn't make him any less of a legend, but his drug use was an inherently negative act. The difference is, tobacco slowly kills you and imprisons you in addiction, but it doesn't slow your reaction time or forcefully cripple your mind. I have no respect for any drug user, but I have a lot more faith in the ability of someone smoking a cigarette to function as a normal member of society than I do for someone who's stoned out of his mind and spends his days in a high, sitting on a couch and eating Funyuns.
And you don't think it should "run someone's life"? The guy above has an entire section of his kitchen devoted to his hundreds of bongs, and I'm sure he hasn't spent a minute sober in the last decade. It does run his life. He wouldn't be so obsessed with the lifestyle and subculture if it did not. If you can't live a day without smoking weed, then drug addiction DOES run your life.
Regardless of what ridiculous argument you make, you are an inherently broken person if you cannot enjoy your life without crippling your mind with these drugs. There is no justification for it - or for any drug use. We have the capacity to be happy without putting these poisons (this isn't a dramatization - they ARE poisons in the biological sense) in our bodies, and if you require drug use to be happy, then there is a hole somewhere else in your life that needs to be filled with something that does NOT detrimentally affect your mental function.
Skimming over your nonsense that you probably had to spend four hours on wikipedia to retrieve:
1. I noticed you said something about the guy with his kitchen full of bongs, pipes, etc., and I may be mistaken but isn't he a medical user?
2. I do not, by any means, require it to function.
3. I don't think you should be doing this. If you have something to say to me go ahead and take it to a PM, there's not a damn thing wrong with this thread, or the people that use these devices, it's their choice, not yours, now move along and bash someone who gives a hoot and don't waste your time with us, we're obviously too "inherently broken" to care what you have to say about it.
