Popular Science Phaser Article...

The tube amp on the other page was cool as well btw.

You guys are lucky having such a great magazine. We have similar, but not really comparable imo.

I took a look at the comments on the page Trevor linked. Thought this was pretty funny:

"Actually those lasers are not all that hard to find... most blueray DVD players lasers can put out close to 850mw
1mw laser diodes are easy to find they come in DLP projectors... in fact"

I love how he puts "in fact" lol

Jay, that is awesome. Just saw this thread. Congrats.

Now don't go getting a big head on us little people since you are somebody now.

Thanks you guys... :)

And now that I know who made the Iron Man palm laser... (by AnselmoFanZero - I know now)

That was actually the highlighted laser project in the Popular Science article...

I just got a little corner of the page. There were 3 laser projects shown. The highlight was the Iron Man, then my Phaser mod, and also a spiro build by Dan Kruse. (not sure what user name he is here on LPF though)

Not Rog, I've seen his spiro's...

This one has a blue box, and it looks like two knobs/pots, and two switches on top, and also on the side... by Dan Kruse in Fresno, CA

I know I'm bumping a near month-old thread, thought I would chime in having just discovered it via google. The one with the knobs & pots is mine, and none of it would be possible without the help and knowledge I've received from this board. Thanks a bunch you guys =D

I made a full tutorial on it @ Four-Motor Laser Spirograph

Good job! :gj:

I'll edit my first post, now that I know who made the spiro...

Congratulations, folks! I once had my writings in a magazine.

I was renewing my subscription and had to write my information on the little card in the magazine.
