I have to say 532nm, it's most visible, and just over all satisfies my eyes the most. Or just the color green in general.

I find it a bit funny that the poll icon on this thread looks a bit like different color beams lol. :D

488! 473 is close enough though. 532 is a close second!

Perhaps you should take 808nm off and add "Other, please specify."

And holding it in your hand does not a laser make.

473nm is my favorite today. If I could, I would vote for 532nm as well.
IMO, its more than just power and color. Beam specs are a contributing factor for me.

Don't get me wrong... I love the colors attainable from diodes, too (445nm, 635nm, 808nm is an awesome cherry red!)...
Maybe it's just me, but a clean, sharp beam of a DPSS laser is so much more appealing.

My girlfriend likes the 445nm better than 473nm, but her favorite is yellow, and she's trying to get me to buy a 589nm now. :D
 
488 is the most legit as fuck as it comes! :bowdown: love my 445 tho :D
Though green is my favorite color. So I like 532 by default :p
 
I really want a 488nm portable... maybe another breakthrough in projectors soon will bring it to us? :crackup:
 
I really like bluray :)
Else I don't like violet much but when it comes to lasers... you gotta love it:
beautiful color, best burner, fluorescence

Unless it's diodes, I doubt we'll see 488nm portables. Argon takes too much power and solid state is too unstable. :(
