So what kind of music do YOU like?

EDIT: there's a limit of ten options.. I had to group some together! Ideally, I would have about 14-15 options. If I split rock up into further subgenres (e.g. Progressive), I would have to start grouping together other major genres. Also it wasn't "thrash metal", it was just "thrash", which is basically Rage Against the Machine. And Grunge is basically Nirvana. Just to break things down for you. Once again, excuse the grouping of hardcore with hard rock... ideally there would be a separate "Emo/Hardcore" option

EDIT-2: just realized I also left out Alternative! DAMN! nobody's perfect... lol

Shame, shame ..... you put hardcore and rock together with punk/grunge/trash .....

I like almost anything, EXCEPT punk/grunge/trashmetal, and ofcourse (i say "ofcourse" cause, after all, i'm still human ), i DON'T like anything similar to Vasco Rossi (brrrrr .....) and the sub-human "so-called-singer" Jovanotti ( all the times that i hear a "song" from this "singer", there's a subtle voice in my mind that start to whisper me insistently "kill him ..... kill him ..... kill him" ..... and this voice don't stop til the "song" is not finished ) ..... all the rest for me is ok, from classic to opera to modern to jazz to rock to new-age ..... even gregorian choirs .....

Where is progrock and post-rock? And electronica is such a wide field of music you cannot have it as only one option.. It's like having an option saying "guitar-based music".

I love thrash metal, groove metal, heavy metal, punk, horror punk (misfits ), hard rock, rock....
Some of my favorite bands are Megadeth, Metalllica, Pantera, Motorhead, Misfits, Scorpions, Dire Straits, AC/DC.....

I like lots of different types of music.
I shall just name some bands.

Dragonforce, 30 sec to mars, Alexisonfire, Thrice, Thursday, Anberlin, Blues Traveler, boston, City and Colour, Cursive, Muse.......

That's just to name a few

Music is a big part of my life... I'm a fan of progressive rock, metal, jazz, avant-garde... I get my inspiration from music, and listen to it 9 to 5 at the office. it's pretty much what makes me tick.

And I organize shows from time to time... Last Tuesday, I had the immense honor of organizing a show with Keith Emerson and Greg Lake (2/3 of ELP for those who don't know)... there were no words to describe my feelings!

Anyway, back to the poll, I have a vast palette of musical tastes, it's shorter for me to state what I dislike than what I like...
