Being totally completely honest, I don't know what to recommend Light. There's so much stuff out there. It's a good idea to look at what others are offering such as Jayrob who sells outstanding kits. If nothing else, it will give you so many possibilities that your head will swim.
There are so many great builders here and if you look at my sig you will see a few of them. Easy to recommend Blord for a top quality complete build and he's also a great person. There are many others though.
The possibilities are endless!!!
All I can say is thanks Antharak. I totally honestly expect NOTHING in return for anything I do so PLEASE no one feel obligated to me. I'm just glad I was able to do something for a few more people. Just because I saw a peak of 114mw on my Ophir doesn't mean there's anything at all wrong with your unit by the way. If you have the LPM I am thinking of, it's like 35 seconds or so to get a lot closer to the actual output and with these inexpensive modules it is VERY likely you missed the peak output by quite a bit of time.
This is why having an Ophir sensor is a big deal especially with 532nm which are all over the place. I also have a TEC based unit as backup in case anything happens. The TEC based one is actually decently accurate but of course has that time delay for full output reading and it can't follow changes well because it is always playing catchup.
I got my sensor from a really nice guy awhile back when he felt sorry for me for trying to help others out with stuff and I couldn't. Out of the blue someone I had never heard of contacts me in a PM and offered me a brand new one for very little $ and I wouldn't reveal who he was because I didn't want others to try to go after him for them (he had a few more) as a few people who used to be members before my time on here had ripped him off really bad. He did later reveal himself. Extremely intelligent man by the way (engineer) who had seen and built and done things for the military that I've never heard of from anyone else.
Wow, I've got to try and contact my friend and see how he is doing now that I think of it. I haven't talked to him in many months. Feel bad now, thanks a lot
