Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

These lasers have turned out much better than I had anticipated, this is really great fun! Getting to build this one will be the most fun I've had yet building a laser.

Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

well, Mike, Chris, what do you guys think about these ideas? :-?

Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

It's a big step from 3 volt diodes to 24,000 volt gas lasers and another big step into radio frequency excited lasers.
It's all fun stuff

Mike

This GB has been read almost 2900 times. I hope it stimulates interest in electronics beyond what is usually discussed on this forum.

Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

have you guys tried any distance with these lasers yet?

Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

I went to the welding shop today and there was a guy there who told me about a web site showing how to make a laser from a DVD !!!! He said it could pop a balloon !!! OMG !!!

I pulled out a balloon and my DX95 and did it. He was pissed that I wouldn't let him "look" at my laser. I don't pass around lasers to the unenlightened and I told him so. He may build his own sometime.

Re: GB LIVE & OPEN for Small RF 5-10W CO2 LASERS!

I like the electronic side of it but I have a lot to learn so I might have a lot of questions but I can tune an antenna ::)
