Please help me build my own laser safety glasses

Hey y'all, I'm new to laser stuff I want to build a burning laser out of my old 16x dvd rw. But before that I understand the priority of safety. So, I want to make my own safety glasses. Can I get any help for what materials I can use and where I can get them?

Worth the money. They're available from many vendors. Choose the right ones for the wavelength you'll be playing with.
Don't take a chance on some homebrew 'protection' made with filters of unknown quality.

The only safe diy system is one where you use a camera and you’re in a different room. Yea don’t skimp on these especially if you play in the ir or uv region. It might look,dim but it’s not.

Do not attempt to make your own safety eyewear. No need to repeat the points above. But I will add another member objecting the idea.
Use LPF445 and get yourself a good pair of laser goggles from Survival Lasers.

Side note. I am very curious on how they are professionally made. Probably 100 bucks in material would make 500 glasses.
