Awesome!

Have you ever seen 520nm? Interesting color. May at first look similar to 532nm but once you get used to the color it is quite different:)

Definitely gonna be a nice change from 532 seeing that 520, (so long as you dont crush the diode in the process :p )

Hope to see some pics of what 50mW of 520nm looks like.

I've got it pressed into a brass module but I'm stumped. Don't know if the cathode or case is neutral. Can't find a pinout only found that #1 is anode, #2 is case and #3 is cathode. Anybody know the pinout?

Hi Alex,
I've never seen 520nm so I'm excited to get this one burning...lol.
Gonna hook the neutral to cathode, should be ok either way, was hoping to cut the spare pin cause there's not much room to solder

Thanks Paul,
Still have to get a driver. Gonna hook it up to the psu but don't know the pin-out, do you?

Edit
There's a pic of my host in my signature

Ok, got it.
In the pic below, left, 532nm on the right, 520nm.
I'd say the 520nm looks like a bright money green.
Definately pretty. The 532nm looks yellowish compared to it. Theres also a pic of the host im gonna use.

Nice host. It should be plenty for this build. I noticed you have an LPC-826 set to 550mA. Did you actually get that thing to accept that amount of current? Do you know what the power is? I've tried to push LPC-840s with far less current and never got them to hold.

Hi paul,
I have no lpm as of yet but yes, 550ma. It actually hit 600 before dimming. I burned a second one trying to get it that high. Been using it alot, it's a good burner and pretty bright.

Awesome!

Yeah, 520nm is a nice calming green, compared to the yellow-looking 532nm. When I had both I first thought I had received another 532nm laser and was thinking, "darn". It was after shinning it next to a 532nm laser that I saw the difference :D

Hey VV,
What you going to set the driver to? I have mine at 200ma as per DTR's suggestion.
Also, I prefer 520 over 532. That pic you took came out pretty true to life as far as the color difference.

Hi Chris,
I ran it up to 450ma on my psu and it acted like it coulda handled more, probably run it at 300ma.

I really like my PL520, everyone should get one, I can safely use it without glasses and without fear of burning or setting something on fire, and it has a visible beam if the light isn't too bright. Mine does 82mW.
