Ah... that's why I couldn't find it on e-bay...

If you type BDR-203BKS, then you get all the listings!

I'm sure it would be fine. I had a 'freak' SF-AW210 diode in a Pocket Mini at that power and it was just fine. I never left it on over 1 minute at a time though...

The Pocket Mini is not bad at all for heatsinking. The pill and the heatsink tighten into the head of the host and the entire assembly 'in effect' is the heatsink! :)

Anyway, that's what I'm shooting for... I'm putting my 8X that I ordered today into a Pocket Mini at about 275mA's to go for over 400mW's in a small build using my 405-G-1 glass lens mod...

i have an lpc-815 at around 400ma in my pocket mini, and it barely gets warm after about 2 minutes

I will also be releasing a driver  that will give you the higher forward voltage and 400mA if so desired from 2 AA's @ 3v.

When my 8x arrives, I will surely post the results of my 1/2 watt leadlight pointer ;D

Whoever said, 'good things dont come in small packages' ;)

My head just exploded. Can't find a good smiley for that, but it happened.

When I saw Daves results for the 8x, and then figured it could be put into a leadlight (my favorite) I suffered the same effect ;)

Please do tell... what is this about a new driver? How big & what will it cost? [smiley=huh.gif]

I will be posting a thread when the production is in final stages. Right now they are home etched and work very well, I use them in ALL of my 405nm builds. Im working with another member to get them rolling out of a professional manufacturer so they are a little more pleasing to the eyes, and trying to bring the costs to make them down.

I can say that they are pointer inserts that also work in all handhelds, and the portion reserved for the switch can be cut to reduce length. They will be good for ANY and ALL 405nm builds as they can provide up to 2.5A @ over 20vdc.

[/end-threadjack] My appologies ;)
