Pink Laser 500mW

Well the brown laser seems much less interesting to me compared to the idea of a bright pink laser of about 500mW. I'm imagining using the genius who created the white laser, adding a lot more red to the multiline white to get a bright pink laser. My wife might even be interested in seeing that one.

Edit: I did a search for pink and the Magenta laser thread didn't show, but I just found the discussion about a pink laser there. So no need to go over old ground.

I got a pretty sweet magenta/pinkish coloured dot using a PHR-803T at 110mA and a 200mW red dilda from DX, not sure what the output is of that lol but seems pretty bright and burns very well.

To make the beam a magenta colour I guess you could follow one of Rogs guides which talks through using a sled for the beam combiner, takes a lot of time to get it all lined up though

ill get a picture tonight when i get a chance

I would guess that a pink laser could be made by turning up the red in a RGB scanner, since pink is red and white.
 
Quite easy to do - at least for a non-portable temporary set up - I used a 405 module of unknown power (bought it from reputable forum member who said it would output between 90 and 100mw, so that's probably pretty close to the actual output) and a WL Pulsar (again, purchased from another reputable forum member who metered it at 173mw) combined with a beam splitter and I got a nice what I would call magenta beam.

The last two pics are shown with my 514nm argon. Of course, I don't have anywhere near 500mw but it's still a pretty pink beam.

wow... this could be comercialized SO HARD! my wife...yes i said my wife.."anyone who knows me knows my wife HATES lasers" said she would buy a pink laser if they made one... but im sure it would never be a practical thing to build. unles your rog...he can build anything and make it almost handheld, if not completely handheld....

Here are a few shades. Should be about 500mW.

The famous "Nuclear Flamingo Pink" you may read about is done with a 430nm blue and a 632nm HeNe in proper proportions. It is stunning, but nowhere near 500mW is possible. I was able to get 32mW out of my setup with my Coherent D3 430nm and a large Spectra Physics 124A HeNe
 
Heh, I wonder how long a HeNe would have to be to spit out 1/2 watt. It would be an adventure to align.
 
Has pink.... well magenta, phr @100ma SenKat red @around 90ma
