PICS!!! my new green 3mw hene

Hmm. How long did it take to get to you? I got the tracking info on Tuesday but I haven't had any updates since "acceptance" when the USPS got the package that day. I'm hoping it didn't get scanned when it left Phoenix instead of it still sitting there two days later. If they sent it priority mail it'll probably arrive tomorrow or Saturday. I just get nervous when there's no tracking update for several days.

Mine just took 3 days.

Oh yeah thanks Helios for sharing that half price deal you found :bowdown:we worship the ground you walk upon!

Ok maybe thats a bit extreme but a bit of credit would be nice. :D

I'll give thanks to you, THANKS

Yes, it was very nice of you and some of us really appreciated getting the great, awesome, incredible, special, super, colossal, magnificent, stupendous, wonderful, fabulous, tremendous, outstanding, remarkable, terrific, unbelieveable deal.

I found it on ebay and I was watching for a while. But Helios gave me the heads up on the price.

i had never seen a make an offer before. so i initially offered 75usd and was immediately rejected. and i did this all the way up to 100, when my auto response was that the seller is taking my price into consideration.

michael.

$100 seems to be the lowest they'll take. Mine should be here within a couple hours. It's out for delivery now. :D

Update: The mail dude dropped off my tube about two hours ago and I'm impressed with the way MI packed it. I have to go run a couple errands then I plan on taking a bunch of pictures of it and the few things that need to be soldered up to make it work. I'll either post them here or start my own thread.

Haha im satisfied now

$100 is the lowest Chad will accept. I have corresonded with him quite a bit about these and that is what I discovered. They also have a matched PSU that they will sell for $95 and again thats the lowest price they will accept.

OK I want a link to that PS if it is an A/C not D/C.

A DC supply isn't that big of deal. Both of mine are.

I'll be posting a review of my tube from them shortly.

Its not on ebay as far as I know. Email the ebay seller and you should reach Chad and ask him about the PSU. I assumed its DC and that you will need a wallwort.

Thanks for heads up again.

BUT, I really want an a/c one. I can't deal with another wal-wart on a d/c.

no ballast resistor, but i have a local place that has them. and i have one from last time. it did come with solder clips. but you know what i used on my last one.... i use 3/8" hose clamps lol.

Quick question. Did you use the spring type clamp or the screw down type? Storing my bare tubes with the leads attached is a pain and I'm afraid I'll snap the mirrors mounts removing them when I put the tube away. I like the idea of the spring type for ease of use but I wonder if they'd put too much pressure on the tube.

Cool thanks for the info. I may swing by an auto parts store and pick a few up next time I set up my tubes.
