Pickle juice, the bizarre flourescent liquid

Try peanut butter with a focused beam, and Little Debbie oatmeal cream pies with an unfocused beam. Your mind will be blown.

I have sat around and pointed my Green laser at random items. I felt safe as its only 5mw. I am getting a Bd pen and I have one thing in my apartment that scares me, Sprinkler System. They have small plastic rods that if melted will set off the sprinkler. They have a red tint to them so they may be sensitive enough to a 30+mw BD laser.
I have found alot of things that look really cool when lased but I have never thought about opening the fridge.

Guess the next thing I need to be buying is some proper safety goggles so I don't fry my eyes and a random reflection.

I've got a bunch of fluorescent UV minerals... like a little collection... cant wait to see that

Care to throw a few names at me? I have been looking for 405nm fluorescing minerals too. Out of the thousands I've hit with 405nm, (defocused) I have found only 7 types so far.
Of course, this takes place at an outdoor antique flea market.(with 20-30 gem/mineral/geode/fossil,etc. booths)
So there might be a lot of them I'm missing in the bright sun.
A highly respected member here suggested putting a black garbage bag over your head and arms when checking. I don't know how that would go over with some of these old redneck dealers, though. "What you doin' in that garbage bag son","you ain't putting nothin' in your pockets are you ,boy"" You ain't right in the head, young fellow"

well my 803T is coming this week so as soon as I can get it put together I'll put up some pictures as well as all their names.

Anyone have a Scorpion, I heard they flouresce under black light.

I went ahead and bought some uranium marbles to play around w/ for when I get my pointer from e-bay.

there should be a sticky about all materials that have cool fluorescent properties (e.g. pink/orange fluorescence in pickle juice, an afterglow on peanut-butter, etc.)

who's with me on this?
